Veem

Cross-border payments, rebuilt on blockchain rails

Veem (originally Align Commerce) set out to fix one of the oldest, most frustrating problems in business finance: moving money across borders. Traditional international payments pass through a chain of correspondent banks — slow, opaque, and expensive.

Veem replaced that chain with a multi-rail network, using blockchain among other rails to route payments directly between businesses. The result is a decentralized, secure, and transparent way to send and receive money globally, with far less cost and friction than the incumbent system, and visibility into where a payment is at every step.

As an early mover in applying blockchain to real-world B2B payments, Veem helped demonstrate that distributed-ledger technology could do more than power cryptocurrencies — it could quietly re-plumb the financial infrastructure that businesses rely on every day.
